Documentation - via Email

Initial configuration:

  1. Switch on Enable Email Sending.

  2. Enter the Email Address to receive reports.

  3. Enter the SMTP Details using the presets or enter the following details according to your email service:

    • SMTP Server
    • SMTP Port

    If your email service is not listed in the above table, please refer to their documentation for the relevant information or contact our support team.

  4. Enter the Email Username. This is usually the first portion of the email address. For example, if the email address is “johndoe128@gmail.com”, the username is “johndoe128”.

    Note: Outlook users are required to use their whole email address as the username too.

  5. Enter the password of the email account.

    Note: If Two Factor Authentication is enabled on the email account, an app password has to be used instead of the regular email password. If you need assistance, contact our support team.

  6. Enter Mail Subject.

  7. Click Test. If a test mail has been received in your mail inbox, the configuration is successful. If you run into any issues, contact our support team.

Email sending interval:

Use Send email every (min) setting to configure the interval between each attempt to send logs via email. The application will try to connect to the internet at every attempt to send email reports. If the computer is offline, report sending will wait until the computer goes online.

Sending screenshots with email reports:

By default, sending screenshots with email reports is switched off on Best Free Keylogger. This is due to file size limitations by mail servers affecting the number of screenshots that can be sent with one email. It is possible to enable sending screenshots with emails, but we recommend using a different delivery method if large numbers of screenshots are to be delivered.
